Analyses a national complete storm database to relate burst duration and event rarity to preburst and postburst rainfall depths and durations, and provides a practical framework for selecting preburst durations, including for sub-hour bursts not covered by existing ARR products. The regional preburst and postburst tables can be looked up for any location on the Design Rainfall page.
